On tap poured into St. Bernardus chalice. [Thanks to Robyn at Daily Pint!]
Poured a brassy, dark maple, with hints of ruby edges. Two finger off-white head dissipating to a thin viscous head with great lacing. Nose was quite vinous, revealing bing cherry and fig. LONG silky mouthfeel and finish. Brown sugar, mild esters, dates, boysenberry syrup, and chewing tobacco on the palate, leaving a sticky, slightly dry/tannic finish.
Gorgeous beer. Can't go wrong with this one.
Serving type: on-tap
