Pours out amber brown and sits crimson mahogany in the glass with a large soapy light tan head, fading to a light skim on the surface with some minor lacings.
Immensly aromatic with active rising dough drifing around a foot away from the glass. Sweet, sweet candy, caramel and dark sugars are everywhere. Hints of tropical fruit, raisins and dates. Two words describe this nose: Boo and Yah.
Tastes mildly sweet up front, firm toasted malts lend a bit of balance to the overall yeasty character which really shines through. Prunes, dates and raisins compose the fruit element while mild, biting, grassy hops balance the scene. Finishes with a light alcoholic warmth and distinct estery residue.
Medium bodied with soft, full and large bubbled carbonation. Easy holding, this is a flavor injector.
Hightly enjoyable, can't think of many beers which set such a good example as this one does. Seek it out and sit on the most comfortable chair you own and you will realize that your mouth is getting the better treatment, not your ass.
