33cl bottle poured into a Bokbier glass. Freshness date: 04/05/07
Appearance: hazy golden with a two finger head of white froth. Some sediment floating around as I poured it all in.
Aroma: really sweet, some orange peel zest and a lil bit of pepper in the nose.
Taste: goes down with flavors similar to the aroma. The belgian candi sugar makes this a very sweet tasting beer, sometimes that brings a warm flavor, but here the alcohol is still disguised well.
Mouthfeel: moderate amount of carbonation, medium bodied, slightly cloying.
Drinkability: I like the fact that this tripel is on the lower end of the ABV scale for this style., as with all of the St. Bernardus brews I've tried it is top notch.
