Poured from a 1 pint 9.4 oz corked bottle into a shaker pint glass.
APPEARANCE: cloudy pale straw yellow with one finger of white head, excellent retention and a moderate amount of lacing on the glass, a higher amount of carbonation.
SMELL: sweet citrus and bread, not overpowering, subtle.
TASTE: yeasty and sweet, light bitterness at the end, citrus, banana and spice, 8% ABV is well disguised. The hop profile is more subdued than other tripel beers I have had.
PALATE: medium body with high carbonation, creamy.
OVERALL: this is a very good beer but not my favorite tripel. It is not as complex or bold enough for my taste but I would drink it again.
Serving type: bottle
