Dark golden color wtih tons of carbonation flowing to the top. The highlight of the appearance is the nice fluffy white head that hangs around and leaves some spiderweb lacing.
First whiff is fruity, citrus and apricot. This is followed by the expected yeasty spiceyness, pepper mostly. The 8% dosn't show itself. Taste has all the flavors you smell but is suprisingly subtle. Fruityness dissapears and the mild spicey pepper flavor takes over. Some bready malt flavors. Finishes bitter which makes it nice and dry.
Overall, i found this one supper enjoyable. It maybe isn't as over the top as many of the "extreme" beers but it's full of flavor and makes for a great drinking beer. I could enjoy this one over and over again.
