Appearance: It has a nice hazy golden/orange color to it. It has a nice thick off-white bubbly head that dies down moderately slow and leaves light lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of Belgian yeast, some breadiness, lemon, citrus, floral notes, coriander, cloves and light pepper. Very inviting.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has some Belgian yeast, nice bready notes, lemon/citrus, floral undertones, banana, cloves and light pepper. Everything blends together perfectly.

Mouthfeel: It has a med-high carbonation with a very nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied by great flavors and aromas. Definetely one of the best Tripel's I've had.

11.2 oz bottle was poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: A two finger billowy head was poured that reduced to a puffy layer. It is a hazy pale yellow orange color with some clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Vanilla, spicy, powdery yeast, esters, apples, pears, pilsner, and pale malts. Some warm alcohol in there too.

Taste: You take everything above and blend it into one delicious sip. So tasty and enjoyable.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium to full bodied, deceiving warm alcohol, a little chewy, a little dry, and medium to high carbonation.

Overall: It's been sometime, but still an original and favorite of mine. I'll see you again in the future.

330 ml bottle served cool into an Innis & Gunn glass. I've had this sitting in the fridge for about 4 months, so it was definitely time to try this highly anticipated beer. Cost was about $3.25 CDN for a bottle.

Appearance - Very hazy golden honey hued beer. Two fingers of long lasting white head rest on top of this beauty that are inviting dangerous and a little rocky on top. Great retention and nice swath of lacing is left behind. There's tons of visible carbonation as well.

Smell - Spicy with a floral aroma too. Some peach and apricot up front. Then almost like a hidden layer of maple syrup underneath. powdery yeast and a bready aroma finish things off.

Taste - Sweet boozy fruit, pears and apricots, candied sugar and powdery biscuit. Some white pepper on the finish. Delicious melody of flavors, it just doesn't get better than this.

Mouthfeel - Delightfully light yet satisfactorily filling. There's really high carbonation on this even compared with others of the style. Juicy finish in the mouth, yet simultaneously finishes bone dry in the aftertaste.

Overall - (Bows down to the smiling monk and utters good fortunate for St. Bernadrus beer being so good). A true treat and probably the best tripel I've ever had. Worth every penny. A must try for craft beer lovers and probably anybody who enjoys trying some new.
