This witbier poured in to the glass a hazed, cloudy straw color with a firm frothy white cap. The lace is Belgian in appearance, thick and it thoroughly coats the glass.
The smell was dominated by bready Belgian yeast. Sharp wheaty grains, mild citrus and a sweet maltiness round out the scent. The more pronounced malts was a very nice touch.
The taste was tart, sharp wheat graininess, light lemony citrus, Belgian yeasts with the alcohol being faintly detectable.
The carbonation was moderately active on a light to medium body which gave this a crisp mouthfeel.
Without a doubt this is one of the worlds finest examples of the style.

Slightly hazy lemon with a modest ivory head. Orange zest, clove, wheat, lemon, coriander, and floral hops form the very strong aroma. Banana emerges late. Flavor is slightly more subdued, with citrus leading, and becoming bready and toasted mid palate. Citrus notes strengthen in subsequent sips, dominating the profile.
Delicious take on the style. I love the bready malt presence, and the fact that it's not bubblegum or banana laden until the finish.
