Poured from a 750mL bottle into a rocks glass. Pierre Celis Signature version...
Sunglow liquid with deep haze topped by a generous snow-white head of foam which does not dissipate, leaving the sides of the glass well lathered with soapy lacing as you drain the glass.
Aroma is delicate, with lemon zest, yeast, and a trace of brine. Surprisingly neutral overall.
Sourdough, citrus, coriander (a touch of spice from the yeast too), and a sweetness from malt or wheat. No hint of bitterness. A long modestly tart finish fading into sweetness. Very clean, slightly starchy/yeasty. Wonderfully refreshing.
Carbonation is fairly intense, and the medium-light bodied beer is strongly effervescent on and under the tongue. This seems to be obscuring a creaminess. Surprisingly warming for a low ABV beer, though this seems to come more from the carbonation and spice (a presence which is more felt than tasted) than from the alcohol itself.
There is a certain humble elegance at play that makes this exceptionally drinkable.
Wonderful example of this style...

Slightly hazy lemon with a modest ivory head. Orange zest, clove, wheat, lemon, coriander, and floral hops form the very strong aroma. Banana emerges late. Flavor is slightly more subdued, with citrus leading, and becoming bready and toasted mid palate. Citrus notes strengthen in subsequent sips, dominating the profile.
Delicious take on the style. I love the bready malt presence, and the fact that it's not bubblegum or banana laden until the finish.
