Bottle dated 052016 into a tulip glass. Pours vibrant copper with two fingers of eggshell white variable density head that left sporadic lacing. Nose is very tropical, apricot, melon, cantaloupe, perhaps a hint of sweetness. Taste mirrors the nose with more sweetness and hints of astringency and minimal bitterness. Mouthfeel is good, perfect body for the ABV, carbonation is fine, finish is a bit dry and lingers a bit. Loved it bottled just as much as draft at the ESBC tap room. Grab it if fresh, guessing it doesn't fair great wit age.

Hop Plunge isn’t like taking one - because I actually want it. Can’t say I care for this polo stuff though (water or horse), but I won’t let that hold me back. The beer is ok. It reminds me of this girl on the swim team that was pretty saucy, but there was just something there that kept Raul away from anointing her with the other “top hotties.” Maybe it was the 6th toe, I don’t know. So yeah, good beer, but I wouldn’t break a stag date with the boys to buy it supper.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a clear amber with a frothy white head.
Aroma is lots of sweet orange blossom honey.
Taste is a floral orange with a slight honey sweetness at the end.

22oz bottle served in a tulip. Labeled 052417.
Pours a hazy light amber/yellow. Head is large, persistent, and supported by a lot of fine, slow carbonation. Smell is kind of great. Citrus and pine and pineapple in abundance and in appetizing proportions.
Taste is also very good -- much of the same, but a little bit more muted than I would really prefer. Very strong bitter finish, other flavors also last a long time and thread nicely together as it fades.
Mouthfeel is light and thick, a little fluffy (a characteristic I usually really enjoy). Overall, this is a really good beer.

Delicious DIPA, Nice bitter citrus taste normal for a west coast ipa. Nice deep golden color. It's easy drinking, and hide it's 8.9% really well. Haven't had a bad from them yet. Would revisit.

Clear amber with lots of foam in the tall goblet. Quite hot with alcohol. Some aromatics waft up on the fumes-- peach and dried apricot. Rather thin bodied for what must be a load of malt.
Some onion in the taste. Unripe apricot. Very sharp and acidic. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.

Beer has a nice start of tasty dankness and green pine. There's initially a pleasant guava, passion fruit and stone fruit taste in the middle that lingers too long into the finish. Ends with an over ripe, tad spoiled, stone fruit flavor. Would prefer a bitter, dry finish rather than this. Nice showcase of simcoe though.
