--> 22-oz bomber poured into a snifter...
A- Two fingers of white, pillowy foam atop a clear, golden-orange brew. Moderate head retention with scattered lacing.
S- Pineapple, citrus, and mango on the nose...amazing.
T- Tangerine and mixed tropical fruits up front with a subtle, almost imperceptible bitterness on the tail-end.
M- Smooth with an appropriate amount of carbonation.
O- Definitely a citrus-forward, low-hop (in a good way) IPA. A very pleasant and enjoyable surprise from a Left Coast brewery that was under my radar. Until now. Perhaps I have found a new "perma-want"...

Pours a nice full yellow with a bouncy and ebullient head on top. Lacing sticks around, and there's some fierce carbonation supporting the head. Delightful and promising.
Aroma is smooth and pure; a whiff of yeast, green hop cones, starfruit, melon, all carried on a cool breeze. Lovely, and as fresh as if the glass had been drawn straight from the fermentation tank.
Taste is like sunshine in a glass. Tons of grapefruit (juice and pith), lychee, agave nectar, a slightly salty hit of preserved lemon. On the swallow, there's a pleasant lash of petrol, a bright bang right before the lights go out. I like it. No malt or pine for miles; this is juicy as all get out. Incidentally, this would be outrageous with ceviche and a few al pastor tacos.
Mouthfeel is good; probably a 4.25, if such a score was possible. It's aggressive, mind you, but I think it goes with the rest of the beer's character. I'd say that they could tone down the bubbles just a little bit, but I'd worry that it would mess with the rest of the beer's character. Leave it as is.
Overall, this is positively tremendous, especially from such a young brewery. What a shot out of the gate! A pure expression of Southern California, and the best beer I've had in months.

Had a pint at the brewery, and I suggest you do the same. This is a great example of a wheat IPA. I've had some that were too sweet, and some just not hoppy enough. This makes the best of the hybrid style for a beer than slightly reminiscent of Belgian IPAs, but also takes cues from light-bodies West Coast hop monsters.
The wheat lends a lighter body than you'd expect from a 6.9% beer, with just a light wheat bread sweetness. The hops taste and feel wonderfully dry and spicy, but drops of floral and citrus fruit drop in to keep this from becoming an American take on the saison. Not only is this IPA delicious, but it's a fresh take on the style—something that's difficult to find.
