Cloudy copper orange, huge billowy three finger bone colored head, appears unfiltered, respectable lacing, lively carbonation.

Aroma is flowery & citrusy, lots of orange peel & grapefruit, resiny dank hops. The dry hopping steps up the aroma a notch or two, and there is a slight presence of bready malt in there to tame the hop bitterness.

Flavor is bright & bouncy: citra hop all the way. Nice juiciness, and tartness at the same time, minimal malt presence, alcohol artfully hidden. Crisp & dry finish, quite desirable.

Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation spot on,lingering bitterness at the back of the palate is delightful.

My romance with the citra hop continues, and Blue House Pale delivers the goods. With so many overrated beers, it is a pleasure to find a sleeper in the pack. This is a really well crafted single hop APA that deserves closer attention, and higher ratings.

I got this because the guy at my favorite store said "Yes," and "It was brewed less than a week ago."

Entirely satisfied. I was hesitant because of the low alcohol, but I have no regrets and I think that 5.5% might be low...

I don't know how to judge beer appearance, but there is some cloudiness to the brew. Golden honey/amber. I poured with average gusto and it produced a 1-inch cream-colored head which slowly faded to nothing. Lacing was inconsequential.

The original smell was floral and citrus with not a lot of pine. Eventually the smell dissipated to a large degree. While it was there it was great.

The taste was balanced and full and stayed consistent for the duration of the bomber. I rate this a full success. The after-taste (mouth-feel?) was rich and kept me recycling the fumes between drinks.

I will definitely buy this again.

not clear, but not hazy either. bright lemon-y yellow with some 'stuff' stuck to the side of the bottom(?). no head. kind of cloudy.
pine aroma. just pine. soft on the pine though. maybe some citric/grapefruit. very nice though.
bread taste. instantly. citrus/pine nose, bread hit on the palate. or, what is it, really? more base than acidic, not really chalk, but a base-type of twang....
overall an easy to drink brew. low abv, but I suppose the world needs some of those in it. or we'd all be drinking whiskey, right? mostly hops but with a decent balance and easy to session.

On draft at Naja's Place

Thought I was drinking an American IPA until I hit BA.

Beautiful looking beer (maybe it's the West coast sunset shining through the glass).... very cloudy gold-to-orange body with tons of lacing

Citrusy and floral aromas - navel orange peel with a hint of grapefruit

Full bodied mouthfeel given the ABV and style - packed with flavor. Refreshing and citrusy. Sweet orange juice, decent amount of pink grapefruit. Rich for the style - love it.

Really glad I gave this puppy a shot. When in So Cal, seek this one out!

Reviewing my most recent time enjoying on tap, but have had from a bomber as well.

A: Golden, mostly transparent color with a thin foam head that lingers.

S: Piney, citrus-y hops spring forth immediately -- for a pale ale, it's both surprising and welcome all at once.

T: For a pale ale, it really does a great job delivering full hop flavor with each and every sip. Taste is piney, grassy and citrus hops with a delightful tropical finish that evokes pineapple and mango.

M: Light and pleasant with some mild carbonation; very easy to drink.

O: One of my favorite pale ales (L.A. or otherwise). It's incredibly well-balanced, being light and immensely drinkable while giving you a high-quality flavor profile. Drink it whenever you can.
