Our first anniversary beer! Touch of darker malts lend a bit of an amber hue, and big Simcoe / Citra presence give this beer an old meets new American IPA character.

A - Nice golden orange with clean white ~1.5" head. Lacing stays for several minutes/sips.
S - Sweet citrus hops - peach, orange, tangerine.
T - Orange, grass, malt, and sour lemon. Very bitter finish.
M - Chewy and sticky.
O - This DIPA smelled much better than it tasted. Smell reminded me of PsuedoSue or CitraNinja but taste fell short. It's a good DIPA, but the bitter finish and dominate grassy notes could be smoothed out. Would give this another try. Prost!

buttery, soft floral notes, birch perhaps? hazy appearance with micro foam lace on the glass. has almost a creamy feel and the smell is wonderful. a classic california double IPA.

22oz bomber bottle into a snifter
Noted on 07/31/15
A darker pale. Auburn look with that orangish-amber glow and a muddled clarity to it. Nice frothy whip of beige suds holds over. Some light dots and ribbons of lace noted.
Toasted malt is evident in the nose backed with a caramel sweetness. Sappy pine abounds. Grapefruit and dank with some esters round out the aromatics.
A bit more brazen. Not shy on the malt or bitters. Highly resinous and danky pine sauce mellowed by some toasted bready pale malt. Nice elements of herbal grapefruit zest to it. Alcohol is fairly well known here.
Moderately filling while frothy on the palate. Semi dry in the finish. Nice lasting linger.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a bright amber with a thick white head.
Lemon and tangerine on the aroma, not much malt present.
Taste is nicely balanced between "second wave" herbal dank citrus hops and a sweet malt.
Nicely balanced IPA>

Grabbed this one just 5 days after bottled(at Green Jug in West Hills), opened on day 6, which seldom happens - it's a beautiful coppery/orange in the snifter, 2 fingers of nice foam which lies down fairly soon - minimal spotty lacing - aroma is sensational as one finds often when the beer is so fresh, delicious taste, along with just the right carbonation and feel. Fresh IPA, executed nicely - really one of the nice finds in recent memory. Bravo! I may go back in a couple of days and buy another bottle or two while it's still new and brilliant : )
