Pours hazy copper with quite a large off white head. Bubbles are loosely fitted and retention is decent. Leaves spotty lacing on the glass.

Pungent tropical hops give off a overripened mango and passionfruit with quite a bit of pine thrown in. Backing hop aromas of orange citrus and earthy grass. Malt presence emboldens the natural sugars that would be in real fruit with a dense caramel.

Malt is well crafted with not a hint of grains, caramel, toasted waffles and some brown sugar provide more than enough base for the hops. Hop flavors come off as stock west coast citrus and pine with some measured mango. Balanced between malt and hops but with copious amounts of each. Finish is slightly drying carrying the orange citrus and pine through the aftertaste.

Medium bodied but standard DIPA fare. Carbonation is smooth and even making this dangerously drinkable. Alcohol is barely felt and drying feel is mild but present.

A rock solid DIPA, very flavorful and drinkable, nothing overly unique about this beer but delivers a strong showing where it counts. El Segundo is building a pedigree of handling their hops and this one falls right in line.

Appearance This IPA pours a crystal clear dark orange color and is topped with 1” of white head that lingers nicely, a layer of Belgian Lacing lines the glass as I drink it.
Smell: The aroma of this beer is a blend of grass and pine aromas that blend tastefully into hoppy goodness.
Taste: This IPA doesn’t have an overpowering hop flavor but I wish it did have a little more power than it does. It has a nice blend of hops and malt just not enough hops.
Mouthfeel: This is a medium bodied beer that allows the flavor to cling onto the palate nicely.
