The Gueuze Tilquin - draught version is a spontaneous fermented beer, produced by blending a low alcohol lambic (called Meerts) and 1 and 2 years old lambics, all fermented and aged in oak barrels. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized, and it is refermented in the keg. The lambics used were fermented and oak aged in our installations. These lambics are coming from worts brewed by Boon, Lindemans, Girardin and Cantillon breweries.

Pours a hazy golden color with a sudsy white head that evaporates quickly. Funky fruit and grass notes, with some oak as well on the nose, this SCREAMS gueuze, and that’s the case on the taste as well. This is fruity and funky, with some oak for balance and a crushingly dry mouthfeel to amp up the funk. World class, IMHO.

2019 vintage on draft. 5.3% ABV
L: Slightly hazy gold. Thin ring of bubbles.
S: Barnyard funk
T: Follows the nose, but more robust. Barnyard funk, lemon, vinegar. Really nice complexity.
F: Medium-light bodied, a bit puckering with a dry and lingering finish.
O: Phenomenal. World-class for sure.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Hazy deep golden colour, large white head, rapidly diminishing. Strong and complex funky aroma, brettanomyces galore, oaky and "farmhouse" / horseblanket notes. The flavour is sour / acidic and funky, notes of oak, stale hops and old apple cider.

I had this on draft during SF Beerweek 2020. I am posting this review here, as it is for the draught version (versus bottled?).
A simply fantastic beer. Tartly sour, with some of that wet hay and barnyard funk, along with a touch of lemony citrus. Flavorful, with an incredible finish.

Neutral gold color with the lightest of hazes. Small head which leaves some thicker streaks.
Sour as expected with a light sweetness. Relatively nondescript.
Tart with berry sweet background. Smooth mouthfeel with enough carbonation to prevent the flavor from becoming too cloy. Sour aftertaste.
