Best before 01/2023. Poured into a 10 oz snifter and split with my brother.

Ruby red/brown cloudy body with minimal white head.

Plum and white grapes, tart cherries, green apple, sweet simple sugar.

Upfront incredibly lemony, dry and tart, as the acidity passes the plum coats the palate and balances the beer nicely. Lingering acidity and tart dryness. Residual sugars are present in abundance.

Feel is puckering and dry. Medium bodied. Low-medium carbonation.

Overall a great lambic that will improve with age but is fantastic to drink now.

A: hazy red tangerine colored ale with but a brief bubbling at the surface off the pour; naught but a slim wisp of film rimmed the edge of the ale

S: fruity and tart - apples, vinegar, plum, and lemon; hints of oak

T: right in stride, brings lots of tart fruit and subtle plum to the tongue; tart apples and drying lemons, dry oakiness

M: slick, slim, and tangy; refreshing, light; acidic tingle and pucker

O: I tried to be moderate here, but this seems to be an ale on top of its style - full of tangy tart fruits, it is clean, fresh, and bright. I'm sure fans of the style know all this - and if you're ready to take on the style, or sour ales in general - this is a great place to start.

*My rating below the rDev: This is my first fruit lambic, and I can appreciate that it is an outstanding ale, but didn't feel comfortable going higher in my scores considering my lack of reference points within the style.
