Pours straw with a large head.
Nose shows spicy hops and soft biscuity malt. Later some floral hops enter.
Very similar flavours, more spicy hops along with some grassy notes followed by a nice bisscuity malt character and a mild bitterness.
Great light body and moderately high carbonation.

Hazy lemon with shaving cream foam.
Citrus and melon Frozfruit on the nose.
Lots of clean grain and lemon sorbet with grapefruit peel, pissy, slightly sprucey hops.
Zesty finish and grassy linger. Light, crisp, clean.

Made with Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, Citra, and Simcoe.

Why all the hops? I can pick out the Centennial and the Citra but not the Cascade or the Simcoe. Still, almost too drinkable.

Quality hoppy lager.

Coming in a 330ml slim brown bottle; BB 05/02/14, served chilled in a straight imperial pint glass. Notes: The ingredients include Pilsner malt, Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, Citra and Simcoe hop varieties.

A: pours a pale yellow-ish straw colour, hazy, coming with a well-lasting white frothy head and very mild and constant carbonation.
S: very light lemony & citrussy, plus some pear-ish yeastiness upfront, while lager beer’s doughy acidity is very faint to non-existent; given a good swirl, more tropical fruit notes of American hops come to the fore, suggesting passion fruits, grapefruit peels, and Fuggle-like earthy aroma. It’s more hoppy than one’s generic German Helles lager, but very restrained if all these hops are considered. Also, the yeastiness on the nose is definitely much weaker than most Landbier/Kellerbier I've tried.
T: refreshing but soft and clean on the palate, the foretaste comes pretty weak on lager’s acidity, lightly grainy but with a rather decent kickback of malt aroma at the back, where the zingy citric hop bitterness works well to blend in seamlessly with the surprisingly restrained fruity hop undertones and a refreshing semi-acidic yeasty bitter-sweetness.
M&O: the mouthfeel is in general refreshing, the body is light but not weak, and the flavour profile is in my opinion quite messy but not unexpected given the “unfiltered” design of this beer. There’s no info. on how these five types of US hops are applied to the brewing process, but I suspect maybe less could be better, so a bit more focus could possibly emerge somehow..?
