On tap at Which Craft in Midland MI.
Appearance. Dark but clear black-brown with ruby colored edges and an excellent, durable head.
Like many Black IPAs, the heavy hop load seems to clash with the dark malts, bringing out the bitterness and flavors of smoke and dark roasted coffee.

This is a review of the Nitro version served on draught at the taproom 6/20/2022. Looks and smells like a roasty stout. The hops are slightly in the nose and then really surface on the tongue. Alcohol extremely well hidden and nitro creates its usual creaminess. Enjoyable. Could be dangerous.

Classic flavors of a dark beer, but has a much lighter feel. Real good!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle
A: Pours a dark brown. Thick off white head.
S: Smell is of pine and grass. Thee is also an aroma of char.
T: There is pine, grassiness and slight stone fruit balanced with coffee notes from the charred malt.
MF: The charred malt flavor hangs around but it is otherwise light bodied. alcohol burn is non-existent.
O: not my favorite style but this is a really good example of the style.
