Appearance: deep cloudy amber-gold, fizzy one-finger head that subsides to a thin ring & clings to the side of the glass; opaque.

Nose: LOTS of honey.

Taste: dominant honey flavor through to the finish. Medium to heavy body, high carbonation, tart apple acidity.

Verdict: High on the sweet side, but Greenbush succeeds again in creating an original and interesting experimental beer. The Belgian pale gold style definitely comes through, and the "little something special" (a.k.a. honey) coupled with its high 9.3% abv makes this beer feel reminiscent of a honey mead. Would enjoy again.

On tap at Fat Cam's, served in a 16oz tulip 3/4 full. Pours with little head for which to pull any great nose from.

It was darker and in thereso cloudier/ thicker than I have been used to with heavy Belgians, but this brewery is known for strange and outrageous beer.

Not a great smell at all, but I did catch a bit of Belgian yeasty pop behind the sweet, malty forefront.

Just as I expected the malt was heavy at first, but the best parts shined through immediately afterward. For all that I thought was lacking in the beginning of this experience, it was quickly wiped away. A light nutty and plum shined through it all.

There was a heavy and velvety feel to this one. Thin on the bubbles and a smooth finish with an aftertaste that was a well planned out trip down beer lane, that I couldn't miss the rest of the way down.

Once this hit the table I hand already counted it out. My favorite style of beer was once again complimented with another great entry to the category. If you can find this, pick it up.
