Enjoyed at the brewery on 10/9
Copper color; great frothy head; slightly sweet on the nose; consistent lacing down the glass; well-balanced up front; malt-forward; good, soft and subtle pumpkin flavor; sessionable fall beer; a little 'bitey' on the back end.

Unicorn Killer is a gleaming, clear orange-red with much the color and clarity of a garnet. An off-white head recedes to foam, which in turn leaves a thin ring where the beer settles and follows with some light spottiness.
Spices are strong on the nose, not overdone, sort of a mixed bouquet with some sweet and some more of the savory kitchen variety, but definitely featuring cinnamon on the forefront. There's a bit of flesh as well, with some maltiness holding up and giving some breads, caramel and brown sugar notes.
The flavor has more of a tang, and the spiciness hits harder. Some fleshy, leafy pith brings out a surprising bitterness.
The medium body holds together well. There's plenty of crispness and a good smoothness, though a bit of aspiring bites the back of the throat just into the finish.

Amber colored beer with an orangeish head. Has a smell of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ripe banana. Taste is bitter and the combination of of spices is pretty harsh. Textbook example of what happens when too many spices are used. Too bad the beer isn’t as good as its name.
