Golden and hazy with sediment on the bottom. Topped with 3 fingers of off white head, some visible carbonation.

Peaches?! Canned peaches, pineapple, fruit cocktail. A bit of pine. A hint of red pepper.

More balance of fruit and hop on the taste. Getting peaches and canned fruit cocktail balanced with big bitter hops, pine, but mostly dull but big and bitter hops.

Medium thick almost syrupy body, medium carbonation.

Found at Beer Lab, CNX and drank here Jan 15th, 2016. Somewhat noteworthy coming from England. Seems more American in style than your traditional English IPA.

Sort of fresh in at Leura, but only a couple of weeks on BB.
Writing this I am surpised to see the classification as an EIPA.
It's pale straw, and it has very little hop zest - is this because it's not fresh one wonders? Grapefruit in the mix tho.
The malt, when thrown in by the brewer, also missed the target, so no malt backbone.
An OK beer. and an odd one.

Pours a pale gold, bit of haze. White head; small bubbles, retains thin crown. Thin lacing. OK.

Smells fruity, but also yeasty. Touch of green apple, citrus and some honey oat bread. Could be nice with more hops; smells a little cloying but decent enough.

Taste is pretty hoppy. Nice and bitter from start to finish. Slightly grassy, citric with touch of paw-paw and slightly metallic on the back. Not much else, could use a bit more malt to drive it home. Tastes English, doesn't really feel English though.

Yeah feels thin, fizz comes through, bit of hop pull too.

Not sure if it's meant to be an English IPA or more of an emulation of American but doesn't have the malt backbone of an English beer or the hop drive of an American.

330ml bottle at Les Crêpes de Sophie in Shrewsbury on 19th Dec 13.

Pink grapefruit feel throughout this beer; poured a hazy almost dirty old gold colour, on top a white covering.

The aforementioned grapefruit came strong and fast as I sniffed and sipped the offering, other hop esters and flavours came and went but the citrusy grapefruit refused to budge or be replaced by anything else: peach notes and a floral hint or two tried to express themselves but got put firmly in their place.

Nice brew: not my normal type of tipple but I really enjoyed it. The body depth was just right and it held the alcohol and flavours together very well.

330ml bottle bought online from Ales By Mail

Poured a light golden copper yellow colour with a slight haze. White head poured loose and frothy and faded quickly to light bubbly coating with thicker edging... lightl carbonation... some faint lacing...

Aroma - Lots of juicy grapefruit, pear and apple fruitiness... floral honey, biscuit maltiness, some caramel, light marzipan, sea salt, metallic notes, talcum powder traces, pine, grassy and earthy notes...

Taste... Good sweet biscuit malts followed by grapefruit and pear fruitiness, some citrusy hops, grassy notes, caramel, definite floral honey, some faint pine, clove traces...

Feel - Sharp initially then smooths out... light / medium bodied... A supremely drinkable brew at 6.0%

Overall - An excellent and supremely well balanced IPA... recommended.

Pours amber with a fading head.
Nose shows spicy, herbal and earthy hops aplenty along with some sweet-smelling cookie dough-like malt.
Flavours retain the cookie dough characters and herbal, earthy hops. Finishes with an assertive, tongue-coating bitterness.
Carbonation could be perhaps a little higher.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of May 2012. Acquired from my local beer specialist.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. A hazy golden hue with very low carbonation. Forms a small head of frothy white foam that disappears after a minute or so. An intense aroma of sweet tropical fruit and citrus, with a hint of dry yeast in the background.

Tastes overwhelmingly of aromatic hops, with a knock-out bitter finish. Notes of tropical fruit, citrus and a hint of pine, underpinned by sweet malt and earthy yeast. An aggressive, spicy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and full-bodied, but rather flat. Feels like the carbonation has gone walkabout. Highly astringent - dries the palate thoroughly. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops.

Wow - what a hop bomb! Incredible aromatic flavours and a dry bitterness that excludes all else. However, the malt doesn't get much chance to shine through and provide balance, leaving this lacking in depth. The other flaw is the lack of carbonation, which has an adverse effect on the mouthfeel (this could just be a batch problem). Slightly surprising, as I was under the impression that this was bottle-conditioned. Still, an impressive effort. Well worth sampling if you have the chance.

On cask at the 2011 Belfast Beer Festival.

Hazy honey blond verging on orange with slight foam. Sweet honey and floral orange nose - tasty.
Stinging honey and mango sweetness with orange rind hops.
Grapefruit finish and long lingering bitterness. Medium to full, chewy, sticky and round.

Not complex, but a clubber. Citra makes this a monster. With cutting bitterness and decent sweetness, this is the real deal when it comes to IPAs.
