Loved this place, St paddy's day food was really solid and their beers while not mind-blowing are all still of good quality. I hope to be seated in a new area next time as the place is way bigger than it looks. Definitely recommend if your beer touring the Ohio City area.

V: Neat outside patio Q: Well prepared food, great beer. S: Excellent Sel: Decent, typically expecting to see just pub grub, but they had a nice selection of unique and tasty items. BLT was delicious. F: Great, but go for the Beer, definitely why you go to this place.

Very good all around. Solid food and service. The beer selection was good (as expected) and quite tasty (better than expected). Didn't knock my socks off but I would definitely come here again.

An okay place by the market. Good selection of beers, but pricey for the ridiculously small serving sizes of many, lower abv beers. Service came across as uninterested at best. Not the worst place I have ever been to, but there are better choices within a couple blocks.

Service is not their strong suit but the place is cool, the food is good and their beer got really good when they brought in a new brewer and opened up the big facility.

Judging by my tasting or drinking of 5 of their offerings, two stouts and 3 German-styles, I give them an A+ for brewing to the style. The Plus mark comes from making a proper rauchbier where so many others in the USA fail (so many disappointments!). Good food, good vibe and a biergarten in addition to indoor table, booth and bar seating makes this a very accommodating venue. The food we ate was good and appeared good all around (mussels, flat bread pizza and guacamole dip & chips). I would like more time to sample more of the brews and eats sometime in the future.

I feel like I enjoyed this place a lot less than I thought I would. The selection was fine and so was the quality. I just wasn't floored by anything. You should still check this place out and the seemingly endless list of other breweries within walking distance.

My wife and I stopped here to have a light lunch and to try their beers. The place is located adjacent to Cleveland's famous Westside Market. There is parking at the rear of the place next to a separate building that houses the brewing and the brewery's store. A large “BEER” sign is on the roof of that building.
The interior of the pub has a large L-shaped bar bounded on two sides with the dining area. There is a sign saying “Ohio City Room” that points to the basement, so there may be more pub space down there. The interior vibe is just about perfect within the definition of my wife and me. An especially nice touch are the numerous random placement of the candelabra-type chandeliers that have all been pained a pewter color. Nice!
There were 21 of the brewery's beers on tap plus 3 guest taps, so we decided to order two 4-glass samplers so that we could try a number of their beers for evaluation. It turns out that we wished we could have stayed and ordered more of them because the ones that we had were all done very well. Each was brewed well in excess of typical style characteristics, and the most notable one was the Citramax IPA. (I'm a citra lover.) Also notable were the Progress Pilsner and the Boss Lager (a Vienna lager). A B-minus was the lowest score that we gave to any of the beers.
We wanted a light lunch so we ordered only an appetizer, so I am not including a Food score with this review. The menu did look enticing. Service was very good, but the lunch rush was already done, so it's tough to judge that. The bar also offers wine and beer cocktails, so there is a limited amount of spirits on hand (however, I don't know if they offer standard cocktails). We really enjoyed our visit here, and will make a return visit if we are in the area again.

Small place but surprisingly good beers. Large selection. Food was great. Friendly staff. Their Citramax was so good I went to a local store the next day to purchase and take home as I was visiting from out of town.

I've only been to th Market Garden once but I already love Market Garden. They are located on the site of the old chicken vendor. Back in the early 60's I would cringe when my mom would stop over there with me in tow. I couldn't stand to see the chickens getting slaughtered.
Now they serve great beer there. Their own products are first class and they had great guest taps too. The food and service were outstanding. The 25th street area around the West Side Market is paradise for beer livers - er, I meant lovers. Visiting this area is something fun to do in Cleveland year round.

February in Cleve-the-land. Post, well, you know where we started, do we need pretend otherwise? I mean, really, we’re right around the corner from Fitzgeraldtown (won’t you take me to?), how can you not kick it off with a freshie? Having gotten out and ventured all the way around the corner, this one’s got 3 cops out front, wondering if they weren’t expecting me...
Rounded ‘L’ shaped wet laminate topped wood bar with a wood panel base & foot box; and seating for 2 dozen+ on hightop chairs. 2 towers of 12 with mad logo handles along the wraparound bar, and a 12 tap tower on the bar back over cupboard space below. Booze countered, shelved glassware over mirrored panels, and flats above with tap list pieces showing beer, style, & ABV. Flats over the bar. Wrath of Khan Genesis Project growler (golbi) apparatus for the filling of.
Off white walls with windows, tall, vertical, & narrow up front, and pieced wood wall play on both ends. Slat wood floors, and a black ceiling with noise reduction boards, a phat chunk of ductwork, & spinny fans. Clustered mix & matched candle bulb chandeliers, mounted wall lamps, the giant ‘BEER’ marquee sign over the bar, and spots where need be.
A dozen and a half hightops off the bar, booths to the side, and shorty low boys along the perimeter. A pretty sizable room to the rear curtained off just now with a straight bar and hightops as far as I can see (from the entrance to the room, anyway), and some kind of snow covered pen out back.
14 taps (Retro Hippo, 10%, Barleywine; Prosperity Wheat, 6%, Hefeweizen; Progress, 5.5 %, German Pils; Citramax, 6.7%, IPA; Midnight Vorlauf, 6.5%, Coffee Porter; Friar Power, 8.7%, Belgian Tripel; Chinook Strike, 5.5%, Pale Ale; Wallace Tavern, 8%, Scotch Ale; Illuminator, 8.5%, Dopplebock; Particle Accelerator, 9%, Imperial Rye Pale Ale; Boss, 5%, Amber Lager; #Kolsch, 5%; Viking, 5.5%, Pale Ale; St. Emeric’s Stout, 4.5%, nitro Dry Irish Stout), + 10 guest taps including Oskar Blues 10 Fidy & Great Divide Hercules, goods from Fatheads, Boulevard, Heavy Seas, Humboldt, & 4 String, and cider & ginger beer. Had the Progress (solid Pils), Citramax (nice IPA), and the Boss (tasty Amber, good balance, nice malt backbone). Pretty good range overall. I would have liked to have gotten at the dopple, both pale ales, and the kolsch.
Foodwise, I could have slammed the coriander crusted yellow fin tuna tacos, or any of a bunch of other things (I want!), but it’s later than food is happening. See, now it’s politics, and midnight on a Friday. Dark and kind of clubby, at this hour at least. Candle bulbs of orange shimmer in my head, spinning. I really need a day of not starting somewhere else and seeing the scene. I think I may have solicited the best breakfast skinny from the cops, how soon is now?

A popular and spacious hangout, there are a few separate rooms and an outdoor beer garden that is frequently hopping busy, even in the snow. Service is a mixed bag--sometimes they are knowledgeable, sometimes not.
Selection is pretty wide, with a nice variety of their own brews, as well as a good variety of guest taps. I've never been impressed with any beer MGB has brewed, however.
Although the menu sounds enticing and unique, the food has been underwhelming every time I've gone, being a little cold, or soggy, generally pumped out of a likely burnt out and disinterested kitchen.

V-This place is pretty good sized and located in a cool area of town near the West Side Market (like right next door to the Market). There is a nice patio and lots of tables spread through a few rooms. The crowd was younger when I visited for lunch on a Saturday in late May.
Q-The house-brewed beers that I tried (a pils, a wheat, and an IPA) were solid, if not spectacular. The guest taps were above-average offerings from the likes of Bells and Left Hand. Solid.
Ser-Our server was friendly and she could answer questions about the beers she was selling. Service was maybe a bit slow, but nothing awful.
Sel-There was a good number and variety of Market Garden beers on tap. The selection was seasonally appropriate with more wheat beers and lagers on tap than you might find in December, but they also had an RIS if you were interested. The guest taps were a nice touch. I also saw a few bottles on the list.
F-My lunch was OK, but not great. I polled my lunch companions and received similar reports. Typical brewpub food.
O-A nice place with some tasty beers and a fun, Cleveland vibe.
