Poured into a Spaten tumbler. Color is a yellowish orange that is cloudy in appearance. Carbonation on this doesn't exist so therefore there is no head to speak of or lace for that matter. There is only a minimal collar that is just off white in color.
Smell is quite fantastic. Piney/citrusy hops. Yellow grapefruit and blood orange. Spice and just a bit of musty smells and sweet malts.
Taste is just as the nose leads. The tastes of pine and citrus are there, just a bit muted from the smell though. I do get the sweet citrus of a pink grapefruit with some bitter and also some dark sweet of a blood orange.
Mouth is a bit on the thin side. Body is as well. Carbonation is a bit weak and the finish is a little on the long side with some alcohol and rye spice.
Overall I did enjoy this but not as much as I wanted to. Previous reviews said that this was a carbonation explosion (not sure if they were kidding) but this had almost no carbonation. The lace did come to play but nothing else to say for the carbonation. I would check this one out if you get the chance. Maybe you can be as lucky as me and have a Denver local just send you two out of the blue. Thanks Jasonrm72.

Quite simply the best RyePA I’ve had. It balances spicy rye overtones with a beautifully piney, yet floral, undertone. Will it change your life? Unlikely; but you will surely have a richer one after having tasted it.

This one is a bit harsh for only being seven percent alcohol. The rye spice is certainly intact. Pretty smooth in the finish, which is a plus. A bit heavy in texture for the stye. I know rye IPAs are supposed to be thicker and a little grainier but this one really brings it. A bit of late sweetness as well. Not my favorite rye but flavorful and worth a try.

12 oz. Can
Poured into a Tired Hands glass a hazy dark golden yellowish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit), with some rye/pine. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit), with a nice touch of rye/pine. Medium body, ABV is hidden nicely, with a dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Look: Hazy golden straw with a soft, creamy foamy almost white head that lingers well... it ought to for being a rye.
Smell: Really good. A little bit of passion fruit, a little bit of citrus, a little bit of bread, and mildly piney hops.
Taste: Bitterness first driven by the hops where you get the resin-y sweetness, but it's not so bad that it melts the enamel off your teeth like some hop bombs do. Well balanced, plus the rye malt profile comes through.
Feel: Smooth going down. Minor carbonation keeps it a little lively, but also keeps the moderately heavy body intact.
Overall: I generally do not like IPAs but will definitely be drinking the rest of these out of the brewer's pack I got them in.

This brewer is new to us in these parts, but the certainly have made an impression. I hope we see them some more.
It's a nice little very slightly dirty yellow with the typical AIPA minimal fizz. The aroma is moderate to weak but nice. The taste similarly is not the most adventurous, but it is very nice to drink. The aftertaste is a little boozy.
Overall, this is pretty good, but not truly outstanding in any way.
