tastes like a lager with a bit of funk at the end.
Clear appearance, limited head - lacing slightly, no smell.
Mouth feel: medium carbonation
Shared a taster on-tap as past of a flight at the brewery in May 2013; Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, Long Beach, USA. As part of a six-week West Coast beer tour. I rate to taste, not to style. See my blog for more details: carbeers.wordpress.com

Pours super light straw gold and clear. Egg white thin head, good lasting power.
Nose is pretty sweet... little bit of funk or earthiness in there but its overtaken bycrafte
Flavor is bigtime bubblegum. finishes actually clean... not much of that lingering earthiness you get from saisons. Really good. Lighter body for a 6.7 beer. Very well crafted.

On-tap at the original B-Wood, on to the beer:
The color looks like a summer sunshine. Its clean, golden yellow color are lovely to the eyes, and a few rings of lacing that stick to the glass provide a second dimension to the look. No major faults in the nose, it's fun and has enough horsepower that you don't need to get your nose into the beer to find any aromas. There are notes of lemon, spicy rye, and white pepper.
Even more complex than the nose in the flavor of El Verano. It isn't really funky, but it does offer many fun flavors; vague citurs, lemon, pepper, rye, and bubblegum. Its bosy is lighter medium, and seems to have a slight syrupy feel at points.
It's barely springtime here when this was enjoyerd, so El Verano should be able to fit in any season.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.
Pours a clear light orange with an off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thick foamy rings of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, spices, and Belgian yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with a slight bitterness on the finish. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good saison with some solid aromas and flavors.

On tap at Stone.
A: Pale yellow gold with a massive two fingers of white sea foam. Retention is excellent. Lacing forms thick sheets on the glass.
S: White pepper with a little honey. Malt is redolent of biscuit, cracker, and bread. Floral notes are pronounced.
T: Wheat accompanies light bread and biscuit with faint pepper. Floral notes are evident and I get a little cracker.
M: Upper light in body with high carbonation. The mouthfeel is sticky, dry, and crisp.
Overall: A highly drinkable Saison. Restrained yeast character but that's nice for a change.
