On tap at the pub – Long Beach, CA
Notes taken from 06/03/14 – Taster from flight
A: Light golden straw body slightly struck with that hop haze. Tiny bubbles visibly rise to a smallish layer of paper white froth that is quick to dispel. Only some minor stick is noted on the glass.
S: Super sticky purple punch! Damn aroma on this one is super herbal and weedy with some spiced tropicals and tangerine-orange citrus mixed in. I get some lesser notes of grapefruit and pine here but man oh man this one is dank. Really liking it as this offers up something completely different than their other IPA offerings.
T: The taste is more fruity than herbal I would say. Has a lot of tangerine with some lemony spice, tropicals, evergreens, and light grapefruit to it. That danky weed element is persistent throughout however and might possibly win over in the end. I get a gentle kiss of caramel sweetness from the malts with a moderate to higher level of biting bitterness on the palate. Has a good balance to it while keeping the alcohol completely masked. Slightly different flavors with that herbal weediness but solid none the less.
M: The body is rather light and spritzy on the palate with a nice frothy texture. There is a high amount of scrubbing bitterness while the finish is dry and resinous.
D: Another solid hoppy offering from Beachwood and one that may slip under the radar. The Falconers do deliver a bit of the entire spectrum but I found this batch in particular to be very dank and herbal…In a good way. They just keep pumping out greatness here. Would go for this one again.

On-tap at Beachwood I,
A: Pours a light amber with a medium white head, some solid lace.
S: Lots of tropicality, pineapple, passionfruit.
T: Pineapple, lemon, floral with its tropicality. A very direct straightforward West Coast IPA.
M: Crisp, medium-bodied, clean for the style.
O: Another solid IPA from Beachwood. Julian continues to put out good stuff.
