Amalgamator is a dynamic West Coast-style India pale ale that's delightfully light in body and bursting with unique aromas and flavors. A massive dry hop charge of Mosaic hops lays down an aromatic amalgam of passion fruit, blueberry, dank resin, and citrus notes.
MALT: American 2-row, Honey Malt.
HOPS: Mosaic, Warrior, Columbus, Amarillo.

Little bit of chill haze appearance, nice white head. Smells very hop fruity and juicy. Blueberry too which is nice. Taste is thirst quenching, nice and dry aftertaste. Checks all the notes for a great west coast IPA. I can not think of a better Mosaic ipa. Very layered and cohesive beer. Would take this over Pliny, which is saying something. Not cloying at all . Oily orange screams Mosaic. What an outstanding west coast IPA beer!

Deep gold pour; excellent clarity; tight white head with rocks; one finger of white foam; solid ring; some soapy lace. Passion fruit, guava nose; slightly dank as beer warmed. Taste follows nose; mild bitter hops, firm malt base. Medium light body, moderate minus carbonation; no astringency. Overall a tasty ipa, clean crisp poundable; good tropical flavors; mild bitter linger; would definitely drink again.

Clear, golden yellow body; sparse carbonation; thick head, lasting, white and billowy. Fairly faint smell; slight pine and wild flower floral notes. Exquisite west coast India pale ale taste; subtle light malt base; medium intensity hop flavor and bitterness; mildly dank and herbal. Medium body; gently abrasive on the palate; gentle dryness throughout; soft, velvety residual sugar mouthfeel.
This is a west coast styled India pale ale done right. Balanced and nuanced throughout.

Amalgamator from Beachwood Brewing, 16 fl oz can from @2beerdogs in NBW BIF 17. Reviewed 24/04/23 (Review 3081). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Lower rim of can stamped “C1 GATOR 02/23/23”. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 44.7 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 51.2 degrees F.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Pale Straw (SRM 2), clear.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), clear. Under direct light, same. When rear lite, translucent.
Head: Large (Maximum 4.1 cm, aggressive center pour), white, medium density, short retention, rapidly retreating, leaving a 1.0 – 1.7 cm jagged crown and a rocky complete layer.
Lacing – Fair. Jagged mountains of lacing, trying to break into torn curtains.
Aroma – 4.25 – Mild grapefruit; no yeast, no malt. No ethanol (7.1 % ABV as marked on the label) aroma.
Flavor – 4.5 – Follows the nose. Begins and ends citrusy and full-bodied, a bit dank and resinous. No malt, yeast, or ethanol. No gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Ends crisp and dry.
Palate – 4 – Full; dry; lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Good WCIPA – dank, crisp, and citrusy. I like that the malt and hops bills are printed on the can – I feel Warrior is an under-utilized hop.

A nice WCIPA from Beachwood poured cold from a 16oz 3 month old can into an IPA glass it produced a pleasing aroma of hops (Mosaic, Warrior, Columbus, and Amarillo). Nice initial head that reduced down to a thin but lasting one after the first 3 sips (gulps?). Not the best I have ever had, but certainly a very good beer.

My 1st of brewer. Wow! every month or so one encounters a mighty new IPA - this is one.
a) Darker amber mostly clear body, lots of dotty lace, scant head.
s) Big, powerful runs the table from pine to fruit, in berry, bramble, thicket form.
t) Earthy and hempy dank tones added.
f) Smooth, crisp, clean as West Coast should.
o) One of the best.

Amalgamator pours a only slightly hazy golden color with a nice head and fabulous aroma. The taste follows the nose and is light in body but bursts with hop flavors and a hint of dank. Great mouthfeel and overall an excellent West Coast Style IPA that doesn't finish too dry or bitter. Thanks for sharing @RaulMondesi . Canned 05/09/22

Pours honey gold, translucent with a finger of white suds. Quickly reduces to a ring and leaves spotty lacing. Nose is pine, citrus, dank, and somewhat herbal. Taste follows suit with a bitter pine up front and everything else following suit. Feel crisp and sharp with a good bite. I enjoyed it.
