On tap at Field Of Drafts held at The Hanger in Lancaster, CA.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a citrus forward hop presence that is slightly better in the smell.

A. It has a soft caramel color with a big foamy white head and good lacing. There are some small bubbles coming up throughout. It is opaque and semi-gelatinous.

S. It has a hoppy scent some banana.

T/M. It is extremely tart and bitter. There is a hint of banana in there. It is overly hoppy, as advertised. Carbonated and medium bodied.

O. It is intense. I really like it, but in small doses.

Pours a dark garnet red color, clear, with a pretty nice bubbly off white head.

Aromas are earthy, with some hard candy notes, pine needles, and a bit of resin.

Taste starts out slightly grainy. Some cereal and caramel maltiness, light cream and slightly sweet, with some brewed tea. Finish is earthy, gritty, with some pine needle bitterness.

Mouthfeel is smooth, crisp, with lighter body.

Overall, a solid beer. Far from "Evil", because I found this to be pretty well balanced, tasty, and enjoyable. Nice first beer from Heretic.
