B+

375ml into a tulip. Pours a fully hazed deep dull orange, minor yellowish head after an encouraging pour, ok lacing.

Wonderfully complex aroma dominated up front by citrus, the barrel contribution is significant. wonderful

Sweet through and through. Fruity. Only a tiny tangy and only a tiny tannic but both are well balanced. Medium bodied slightly viscous mouthfeel.
this is on the cusp of greatness
cheers

A: Pours a deep apple cider color with a small amount of flaky black sediment at the bottom. Head is thin, white, short lived and left wispy lace down the glass as it faded into a lasting collar.
S: Fruit dominates including candy fruits, tropical fruits and fruit juice. Light hints of dry oak and bubble gum.
T: Not as dry as expecting nor as much Chardonnay but it's still definitely noticeable. Lightly tart flavors of lemon, peach, apricots, wheat, bubblegum, vinous white grape, spicy woody oak, golden raisin, pear, black pepper and faint vanilla. The finish is bitter, doughy and syrupy, with a very spice-forward aftertaste. Golden ale base easy to pick out. Spicy earthy herbal hop in there as well.
M: Slightly sour, syrupy thick mouthfeel, frothy but very soft carbonation, more sweet than sour, heavy body. Alcohol hidden other than viscosity.
O: Good flavor, could have been more polished, could have been dryer. Sweet and fruity, could use a little work though.

Pours somewhere between a translucent and opaque light, orange-golden color with a short, white, foamy head. Big chardonnay on the nose with some banana and pineapple emerging less obtrusively. Mouthfeel is nice with good balance between the smoothness and carbonation. Noticeable warmth alcohol warmth at the finish. There's quite a bit of disorganization in the flavor. Empty tartness. Some unripe pineapple, a little green grape, a little pear, cinnamon at times, with some sweetness late. Nothing complimentary. It's like drinking stripes with polka dots. There's a pleasing oaky vanilla flavor as the beer finishes. In my opinion, that's its best feature.

Poured from a 375 ml cork n caged bottle into a Lost Abbey chalice.

A- pours a dark honey color with a 2 finger off-white head. Nice thick walls of lacing remain on the glass.

S- honey, cider, vinous notes.

T- big toasted malt character, honey, cider and again vinous flavors like the nose.

M- medium body and carbonation. Sligh fizz but fairly drinkable at nearly 10%.

O- just a ok beer to me. Nothing close to a Famnation or something similar in style but glad I got to try it.

Very very fragile nose on this one. It has a light fruit character, grapes, peach, apple, and other nice summer fruits. Its a bit too light on aroma for me though.

Halfway hazy on the eyes. It's a dark muddy honey color with specs of black bits in it. I'm not sure what they are. There is a white head, and sheets of lacing.

Big grape flavor coming off those Chardonnay barrels. It almost masks the other flavors. I get a little bit of grain, and its on the sweeter side instead of bitter. Low carbonation with a moderately-full body. It's a smooth drinker, and even at an ABV of almost 10%, its quite easy to drink.
