A: Poured from the bomber into a Duvel tulip. Body is orangey-amber that is more bright orange when backlit. Small (half-finger) whitish head on top. No real lacing, but some occasional "legs" of foam on the glass.
S: Not as strong in the nose as I was expecting. Some sweet malt and a touch of juicy, citrusy hops.
T: Fairly sweet malt foundation, then citrus - juicy oranges and sweet clementines. Finishes with lemony pine bitterness. Some spice noted - likely from the alcohol. Warmth from the alcohol is noted in the belly after a few sips. Lingering modest bitterness offsets the general sweet impression somewhat.
M: Medium in heft. Carbonation is modest, leaving a slightly slick feel at times.
O: I like this as a departure from the normal 7% IPAs you come across. Sweeter than expected, with more of a juicy, orange-ish citrus as opposed to grapefruit. Reminds me of Stoudt's DIPA; think of it as a little sibling to that East Coast DIPA with the orange color and flavors. Easy drinker for 7% ABV.

Grabbed a glass at Growler Nation on the way home last night.
The beer pours an orange amber color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is impressive in this IPA, showcasing considerable orange citrus, light pepper, noticeable pine and light dank weed. The flavor profile is more of the same, with the beer well balanced and showing good bitterness on the finish. The beer has some nice juicy tropial fruit on the mid palate, but it's not over done, and the finish is dry and bitter. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, finish is long and lightly bitter, and the alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile.
This is a really nice beer, and fortunately it's pretty easy to find around the Eugene area as well.

Pours a nice amber with a blonde hue and a huge, frothy head into my glass. I liked the one other beer that I found from this brewery and I figured I'd give this a try.
Lots of pine and citrus notes in the nose. The bitterness is definitely there and as with any good IPA, the malt knows its' place and stays in the background.
The bitterness hits my palate like a nail gun, with pine resin and a touch of grapefruit. The malt is there, adding some butteriness to the overall profile.
The best part is the lingering bitterness, which is mainly pine resin. It warms the palate going down and reminds you that that it's all business.
As cliched as my thoughts are, this is an excellent IPA for those who love to smack their lips after a sip and savor the bitterness itself. It could be tamed with more of a malt presence but why bother? Just pick it up.

12oz can poured into a 7venth sun tulip glass.
A: hazy deep oranges color with about a finger of tan head. Nice hue for an IPA.
Smell: Fresh piney hop smell. Very clean and smooth smelling.
Taste: Piney and citrusy hop flavor. Not overly hoppy. Bitter up front with a smooth finish. Seems to be a good, balance IPA.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a smooth flavor and a mild creaminess. Very nice for an IPA.
Overall: This is a very good IPA. It is very smooth and drinkable. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an easy drinking IPA. Does not taste like a higher ABV beer.

22oz bottle, dated 4/30/2013.... so about 2 month old.
$3.99 at Total Wine. Great price!
A: orange body with one finger head that disappears fairly quickly.
S: not much smell surprisingly. but what I do pick up is great. citrus, grapefruit, orange, biscuit.
T: very nice. It lacks a bit of punch but its nice and refreshing. hoppy but not overpowering. balanced with biscuit like malt.
M: I think this bottle is quite flat. this is the most disappointing part of the beer. maybe i just got a wrong bottle (UPDATE - I got some cans of this brew this time and carbonation was just fine). Changing my rating on this to 4.25.
O: solid and will be revisited. hopefully fresher bottle next time.

A. medium hazy orange, I knew this was going to be good.
S. very citrusy , orange, lemon, and grap
efruit were the prominent aromas.
T. aroma matched the taste...lemons and grapefruit a hint of orange.
M. I gave this a 5, oily, lots of sticky resins,...fairly heavy bodied....just the way I like it.
O. This was one was a great surprise! I had never heard of it, my wonderful, intuitive wife picked it out at the grocery store.
After opening I always have her pick out what aromas that come to her and then to taste....I Always get the turned up nose and "it's to bitter". This time I thought I was going to have to go to battle. She loved it!!!! Hence my score. Would I buy again? You betcha , so would she, and she did the next day.
Finally, a beer my Wife likes, and she doesn't drink beer at all.
This will be one of my go to beers. It just left me wanting more, unfortunately it was my only bottle.
