Mother Nature's seasons are amazing, where all her creations flux between an existence in winter's comatose state, spring's colorful fling, summer's hot dance, and fall's laid back swing. The creative juices of musicians jump from an unconscious, winter mindset spurring you to think concerts, road trips and campsites. One sip of this beer will get your blood flowing as you jam to your favorite tunes!

Disclaimer: We don't recommend hanging upside down in a tree, you're not Eddie... It seems fitting to chill in a hammock while listening to great music and sipping a triple-dry hopped, Imperial IPA -- Music for the taste buds!

Served in 12oz tulip. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with 1/4 inch of off-white head that had good retention and decent lacing.

The aroma was a nice blend of pine and citrus hops, with a bit of a floral note as well, over a light grain base. Nearly identical on the palate, with the addition of a sharp grapefruit finish.

The body was pretty typical for the style, fuller than some, lighter than others. Drinkability was good, and the beer didn't really offer any surprises, good or bad. Overall, a nice example of the style. Worth trying if you see it.

Nice West Coast style double IPA. Good happiness. This needs some complexity and a couple of distinguishing factors.

truly a deceptive beer. a flavorful bitter with an excellent kick. Available in central/eastern Oregon (say at Bert's growler garage in Ontario :-) )

On tap at growler nation the other day.

The beer pours an orange amber color with good head retention and lacing. The nose shows considerable oragne citrus, with a hint of pine and dank week as well. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, though the higher abv. (as opposed to Descender) is noticeable. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, and the finish is fairly long with good bitterness at the end.

Couple of thoughts. This is a nice beer, no doubt, but it really just tastes like an amped up version of Descender, and I'm not sure the higher alcohol really helps this beer much. Frankly, I prefer Descender to this beer, and given a choice, would always take it over the Comatose. Nevertheless, this a decent DIPA that I could see myself ordering again sometime.

On tap at the brewery.

Beer pours a hazy gold color with a small white head.

Aromas are of hard candies, oranges, and grapefruits.

Taste starts with some light caramel and hard candy sweetness. Then the beer is nothing but hops. Notes of sweet oranges, bitter grapefruit, and pine resin last through the finish.

Mouthfeel is very nice. Full bodies, but not heavy, and smooth.

Overall, this is a good example of the style. Solid if not spectacular.
