On-tap in Meridian ID; mildly cloudy pale/orange pour with a small fluffy white head. Snappy, bready, mild citrusy aroma, with impressions of wheat and earthy spice. More bready malt and mild orange peel, citrus rind on the palate, pretty creamy body with a touch of doughy honey.

Hoppy Hanukkah night 5 set.
Pours bright golden haze with light white cap from can to pint glass. Beautiful aroma of pineapple and tropical fruit. Tasty New Zealand and Austrian sweet hops make this an easy drinking refreshing microbrew from Bend Oregon at 6% ABV.

12oz can

Pours two fingers of white head into my can-style glass. Retention is decent, and half of the head remains after a few minutes. Initial lacing looks ok. Body is golden yellow, just slightly cloudy, with a large amount of bubbles coming up. Looks pretty good so far.

Nose has some cracker-like malt, light sweetness, faint floral hops. There is something unique about Sweet As that I’ve never been able to put my finger on - definitely has underlying sweet notes, hah. Almost comes across like a Lager. Underwhelming at times, but seems clean and smells fine.

Yeah definitely a little underwhelming all in all, but it does have that nice little sweetness - notes of honey; plays well with the very light dose of hops here - faint melon. Comes together quite nice.

Carbonation is about medium. Body is pretty light. Sweetness isn’t high, but noticeable. Bitterness is pretty low.

The drinkability is this beers bread and butter, and certainly where it shines.

Appearance turned out great. The head was very resilient, and the lacing thick all the way down.

Overall a solid easy drinker, with a signature flavor.

Look: Slightly opaque medium orange with a frothy white head that settles fairly quickly to a lid, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Lemon-lime, sweet honey-like malt, wheat, floral notes – honeysuckle and gardenia, and freshly baked bread
Taste: Honey-coated wheat bread and flowers kick it off and as the flavor develops, light lemon-lime led citrus fruits wiggle their way into the mix. Raw bread dough, honey, and flowers persist through the middle before citrus rejoins to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, very soft throughout, and finishes very full and soft
Overall: Please note; I love this beer and am a homer for it. This was the first beer I had from these folks and was very impressed back then and keep it in the fridge rotation year-round still. The wheat component and unique and delicious hop bill make this beer refreshing, unique, and the standard for a hoppy American wheat ale. Delicious and recommended

Not bad, but about as plain as they come, just a notch above non-craft, but possible good choice for non-adventurous friends & family.

Six pack of cans picked up at Haggens in Woodinville, Washington.
CANNED ON SEP 09 19. Poured in to a pint glass.

Look- Slightly hazy bright golden color, solid off-white head with good retention, a fair amount of lacing. Light carbonation streaming as it sits.

Smell- Citrus (tangerine, orange, lemon and light grapefruit), tropical fruit (pineapple and passionfruit), peach/nectarine, sweet caramel malts, light floral notes.

Taste- Much like the nose but a bit muted and a little tangy. The sweet malts are much more assertive in the taste.

Feel- Medium/light bodied, smooth with almost no bitterness, well balanced. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.

O- A really nice and sessionable pale ale. Liked it so much I used part of one to make a beer/cheese sauce for some stuffed baked potatoes. This is my fourth offering from GoodLife and they have yet to disappoint.

An interesting take on an American Pale Ale. Neither the hops or Malt take front stage it all kind of blends together in a smoothy creamy mouth feel and flavor.

At only 15 IBU's it's bitter by any means, but not overly sweet either. Sweet biscuity and caramel malt blend well with southern hemisphere hops to create an unusually refreshing pale ale. It's not your. standard C hop pale ale from the North West. The hops and malt blend together to make sort of a malty tropical fruit sherbet flavor.

It's an extremely refreshing pale ale. It could easily be a go to for me if I lived in the area - it rarely comes to Massachusetts and therefore is expensive for what it is. Unfortunately this doesn't necessarily stand out in any way, just a good reliable pale ale.
