On-tap at Three Floyds' Brewpub in Munster, Indiana. Served in an imperial pint glass today, 12/12/2013.
Pours a fairly tame looking orange-amber body, not much of a head actually- less than half a finger's worth. Perhaps it was sitting at the bar a while before it was served. Good lacing as it goes down, not much else to say.
Smells delicious- marmalade, toffee and caramel. Very nice for an ESB- fairly strong in quality as well.
Flavour is solid- again, marmalade and caramel come together for a nice tasteful drinking experience. A bit of earthiness and bitterness on the backend, but certainly nothing that detracts from the beer experience.
Thin bodied, a bit watery and despite all that, so, so, so drinkable. The whole pint disappeared quickly. Very drinkable and fits the sessionable bill. Not particularly bitter at all but pleasant.
Nice sessionable beer. Nothing mind-blowing but it certainly doesn't lack in the flavour department. Would drink this again.
