A: In the 3Floyd's teku, Man O Awe poured a tall two+ finger tall head with off white soapy looking bubbles. Great retention, it took 2mins? For it to fall. The beer is a blood orange color, slightly darker with a mild haze. Not really see through because of the darker complection.
S: Fresh pine (christmas tree like) and sweet tarts are moderate, tropical melons that seem under ripe. Very unique. A grassy woods, kind of vibe. Very earthy overall in the hop department. Not really picking up any malt character or yeast esters.
T: Clean hop flavor with fresh oranges, melons and undertones of pine. Not what I expected from the aroma. A significant amount of malt character comes through in the way of bread crust, toast, crackers, very bread focused without the caramel and toffee sweetness. The balance on this beer is spot on in the center, I love it. Clean fermentation character and a fairly clean finish with just a hint of bread and orangey hops.
M: Crisp and refreshing moderate body with moderate carbonation. No harshness or astringency. Extremely drinkable.
O: By far the most balanced and session-able 3Floyd's I've had. A distinct hop character I've never had with a nice flavor that doesn't get boring. 3Floyd's hit the nail with this one, but this babby in 6-Packs!

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/17/2014. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance, robustness, and complexity of citrus/grassy hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good pale ale. Good complexity and balance of citrus/grassy hops and moderate malt sweetness; with very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
