22 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/17/2014. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance, robustness, and complexity of citrus/grassy hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good pale ale. Good complexity and balance of citrus/grassy hops and moderate malt sweetness; with very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

22oz bottle poured into a Duvel tulip.
A - Pours slightly hazy and with a dark amber color that is capped with a thick finger of dense off-white foam. Webby lacing left on the glass.
S - Lightly sweet, heavily featuring caramel malt, maltose, lightly earthy hop presence, a touch of grassy hops.
T - Similar to the aroma, heavy caramel malt presence, fairly sweet malt base, lightly buttery, toffee-ish. Hop bitterness is on the low side of intensity, just giving enough bitterness to keep the sweet malts from taking over completely. Hops are a bit dull in flavor, earthy and grassy but again at a fairly low intensity.
M - Medium body, but the malty sweetness makes it feel heavier. Carbonation is mid-level and tingly...nice but nothing special.
O - Seems to me to be like Dreadnaught's little brother. Same flavor character that I get from Dreadnaught but at a much lower intensity/higher quaffability factor. Certainly not the superstar pale ale that Zombie Dust is...overall, an adequate if not memorable brew from Three Floyds. Glad to try it, but probably won't make a return visit to this one.
