Appearance: This beer pours a crystal clear pale amber. There is a frothy, thick, creamy, pure white head that nicely contrast the light but rich color
Smell: The beer has a fantastic nose of tart grapefruit and bitter lemon rind. There is a hint of green sticky pine needles and an ever so slight grassy spice. Behind those smells is a pleasant sweet caramel aroma.
Taste: The flavor is forward with a wonderful fruit citrus component. Again, there is grapefruit, orange rind and a slight hint of tart cherry of raspberry. As these flavors fade you begin to notice a ever so slight hint of grainy fresh baked bread. The beer ends with a mild lingering bitterness or bitter lemon peel.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is fresh, lively, and clean. It is light on your palette with a sparkling carbonation that leaves your mouth feeling refreshed after swallowing.
Drinkability: Saying this beer is extremely drinkable would be an understatement. I could easily drink this as my only beer throughout an even (or afternoon for that matter) and be completely satisfied by it's easy drinking nature.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: This beer creates a fantastic balance of bold aroma and flavor with a light, pleasant and clean body. It is amazingly drinkable and an awesome interpretation of the American session beer.
