Pale honey colour in the glass...just a touch of haze. Head is foamy off white, and falls at a decent rate, leaving just a thin coating on top.
Smell is a nice heady floral and piney hop aroma. There's an overtone of fresh oranges, as well.
Flavour is flatter than expected. There's some spice up front, and it's a bit ashy as well. Bitterness tays until end, but not much else.
Rather dry on the tongue. Carbonation is a bit higher than I like, and the liquid is medium.
Despite the bits I wasn't crazy about, it's actually rather drinable. I don't think I'd have more than one before movng on, though.
