American Pale Ale (APA) |  5.00% ABV

Availability: Rotating

Notes/Commercial Description:
5.0% ABV, 30 IBUs - This beer is 3 Floyd’s American “Mild” Ale. With a more assertive hop profile that British Milds and a relatively low alcohol content this is a great session beer that still has Pale Ale characteristics. Pride and Joy is a golden color with a fruity nose and a light caramel sweetness to balance the crisp finish. A truly refreshing ale that drinks easily.

Another great beer by FFF. Here goes:

A: I think this brewery has the appearance of its beers down to a tee. Clear, copped-colored beer with a massive two-inch head. Plenty of carbonation to boot.

S: Like opening up a bag of hops. I have no idea how FFF gets all their beers to actually smell like fresh hop pellets straight from the bag. Incredibly floral, grassy and earthy notes. Also some caramel malt to balance out the bitterness.

T: Great; follows the nose. Floral and grassy hops complimented by a nice amber-malt body. Both bitter and sweet.

M: Very good. Nice and toasty with a good amount of carbonation.

O: An excellent beer by FFF. Another winner, to say the least.

First real go at a FFF brew... on tap at our (somewhat) local pourhouse, Vintage Estate. This was bright, crisp, and refreshing. Poured a nice amber hue with some long-lasting white head. Some fruity and floral hops on the nose, and crisp bitterness and just enough sweet malty goodness to balance it all out. Nice choice for a lower ABV pale, especially good when looking after 3 kids on the ride home! Can't wait to try more FFF!

Nose: big piney grass that quickly dissipates supported by grainy malt aromas and light fruits.
Pours hazy gold amber with a thin white foam cap. Big lace.
Palate: malty sweetness, grain, hints of treacle, graham cracker, and light fruit with a very pleasant hop accent on the finish. Slightly sweet with a finish suggesting an iced tea dryness.
Medium body and medium to medium low carbonation.
A light and sessionable easy drinking beer.
