Appearance: Deep copper color. Nice 1 1/2 finger head, giving way to a beautful lacing that slides gently down the glass with the beer.
Smell: Malty aroma, definite caramel tones, though overall the smell is subtle. Not a strong aroma, though definitely pleasing to the senses.
Taste: Rich malt up front, with a delicate kiss of hops at the back. The caramel malts come through quite strongly, with slight roasted flavors in accompaniment. The hops then comes in providing a perfect balance for the beginning malty sweetness. Alcoholic tones come accross very minutely, noticeably mingling with the hops to bring about a warming feeling to work alongside the growing drynesss.
Overall: Definitely a quality brew, and exceedingly drinkable considering its alcoholic content. I feel like I could drink this one all night if I were so inclined. I will definitely make a habit of keeping this one stocked in the beer fridge.
