Pours dark with ample tan head with very little carbonation. Sweet, syrupy, and malty mildly strong smell that is a bit strong but not overpowering and not quite as strong as other Scottish Ales. Taste is bold and stong but not too strong. Mouthfeel is slightly thick but not syrupy and with a good mix of beer and head it is very drinkable. The strong taste makes it slow but good to drink.
This is one of the best Scottish Ales I've ever had, worth trying even for a weissbier / golden ale lover like me. I'd reccomend it.
