12 oz bottle poured into a glass.
A: Cinnamon brown with hazy scarlet. Quarter finger of tan, soft head that disintegrates into tiny clear gems.
S: Grapes, cherries and raisins. Dark fruit. Pepper spice.
T: Starts with cherries and raisins, then a honey - syrupy - caramel finish.
M: Low carbonation, medium-heavy body. Syrupy, like honey. Low acidity, low bitterness.
O: This surprised me for some reason. My expectations were lower I guess. Love the look of this scottish ale.
Serving type: nitro-bottle

From a bottle into a pint glass.
A: pours dark red with about 1/4 inch of thin foam that disappears quickly. I did get several rings of lace that clung to my glass through out.
S: dominated by yeast and malts.
T: a bit sweet at times giving off brown sugar notes. Yeast, malts, and a bit of oak bitterness at the end.
M: smooth and quite easy drinking. I would say medium for mouthfeel
O: not even close to my favorite from Three Floyd's or even a Scottish Ale for that matter. Not bad...but not great either.
