Cool bottle with a cartoonish caricature of a king with an axe. Funny name for a beer too. So far, I'm diggin' Three Floyds.
Slightly cloudy dark walnut colored beer with a thin, tightly bubbled tannish head.
Candied, chocolate, sweet, malty nose while the beer is cold. Bready yeast becomes apparent as the beer warms.
Sweet caramel taste balanced by just enough hops. Fairly chewy with a lingering sweetness in the finish. A nice beer indeed.
This is my second Three Floyds behind the Alpha King I had on tap a few months ago and I like what I see so far.
