-a very dark brown with a reddish hue. hard to get light through it. the light tan head comes and goes pretty quick
-a hard nut...maybe hazel or brazil. a hint of roasted coffee creeps in there too
-good roastiness with a bit of that nut flavor. the scotch flavor comes in and rolls off the tongue and sits there through the finish. maybe some dark fruits such as prune
-an early carb bite that quickly settles out and leads to a medium tongue appearance...not too dry nor oily. i touch warm
-not one of my favorite styles, but this beer is definitely drinkable. i like the roast in it and would indeed enjoy a pint of it
