Serving Type - Bottle
Appearance - Dark brown and tan with a minimal head and lacing.
Smell - Roasty sweet malts, some caramel , toffee, some bready notes, molasses and a little rasin and plum finish.
Taste - As expected plenty of caramel malts mixed in with a mild hop flavor. Has a herbal flavor mixed with the sugars. A bready flavor comes out giving this a English brown ale flavor. Plums, raisins, and some nutty flavors are also present.
Mouthfeel - Malts really make up the most flavor on tongue. Palate late in the finish gets some dark fruits and sugars. Aftertaste is malty, a little bitter and dry.
Overall - Not bad, not as over the top as what 3 floyds usually does. A safer, milder and easy drinker. Worth the drink if your a scotch ale fan or looking for something heavy on the malts.

A- Deep mahogany with amber accents. Dense khaki head
S- Smokey peat, cocoa nibs, crystal malts.
T- Follows nose well. Slight bitterness present for a style that doesn't normally have it. Lots of roasted malts and caramel. Some bready character.
M- Creamy, lighter body. Rich, yet smooth. Dry finish.
O- Very good. Top notch for the style.

Draft pour at Kuma's Too in Chicago, Illinois. I think this is the second or third time I have had this one. Reviewed from hand-written full notes.
A- Poured from the tap to my pint glass with a deep caramelized brown sugar body with a very thick, light tan head. Creamy texture and good retention. A small frothy ring leaves sheets of lace with drizzle and webs as well.
S- Toasted, nutty Brown malts pop out of the glass. Maltiness is certainly the center off attention with just a bit of dark fruity yeast. Cereal grains, toasted nuts, toffee and caramel.
T- Heavy malts make for a fairly rich flavor. Notes of toasted nuts, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, cereal grains, slight cocoa roast, biscuit and a moderate sweetness. Yeast provides some balance with dark fruits and a bready feel.
MF- Moderately thick, chewy creamy body that is very silky and smooth. Medium carbonation and a definite lack of any bitterness allowing malts to truly shine.
Toasted Brown malts lead to a semi-decadent, satisfying experience especially along side a massive burger at Kuma's. Great job making a less popular style by FFF.
