Little different style for the Floyds, British style bitter with oatmeal in the mix. Pours a semi-clear brown/amber color with a rich white head that died down quickly. Aroma is very British bitter, lots of rich, resiny and citrus hop notes. Taste is smooth malt followed by a rush of bitterness. Very tasty, my sample probably needed to warm up a bit to get full impact. 3F's could easily transfer this to a British pub and the clientele would not believe it was brewed in Indiana.

1/2 gallon growler.

Clear amber/gold appearance with a dense, sticky off-white head. Trails of lace reside on the glass.

Nose is quite British with a twist. Earthy, bready malt whaffs lead to a citrus hop smell that is most welcomed.

Malty, earthy and hoppy, exactly what one expects in a good, light Bitter style brew. The caramel-ish maltiness leads to the citrus hop flavor which looms nicely in the background. Once again, very British in nature. Very well-balanced.

Smooth mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.

This beer screams "session" and I was quite surprised by Three Floyds delicate approach here. While it does have apparent hoppiness, it's subdued and well-done per style. Nice, easy-drinking ale with character. Reminded me a bit of Harviestoun's Bitter and Twisted, but different.
