A: Pours a semi-hazy golden-yellow with a bubbly fingers worth head of foam on top. Lots of bubbles in the body. Crazy complexity in the color. It looks like there's a tornado in my pint glass. No BS. Wild. Must be coming from the sediment, which in my book is a plus. Preliminary lacing is good. Can't find anything wrong.
S: Punch of hoppy citrus aroma. Grapefruit. Tangerines. To me, the smell is lacking a bit. There's some sweet malt smell here too. But, I think the aroma I got with Zombie Dust was better. So, this doesn't quite meet my expectations even though it's good.
T: When it hits the mouth you taste what's like a sweet malty citrus/peachy soda. There's almost like a candied sweetness here. Candied fruits -- tropical fruits. The finish is like an earthy bitterness. There's a lot to like here. I'm just not sure there's a lot to love. Off the bat I can think of other IPAs that I think taste better, including probably Pliny the Elder. This is good, though.
M: A medium body, wonderfully carbonated, smooth and creamy feeling brew. This, I think is where FFF excels -- is the feel of their beer. They really nail it when it comes to their ales. There some chewiness here, when brings out the hops, which I like a lot.
O: Even though I was a bit disappointed in the flavor, which might have something to do with expectations, this is a really good DIPA. It's not the best, but it's another solid showing by FFF. If you can find/try/buy this beer, then do it. But, if I had the choice I'd probably choose another FFF as my favorite.

WOOOO! Just had this right after Alpha King. I was skeptical that this would beat it but I was wrong! This is a DIPA to end all DIPA's!
A: Golden in color and very clear. Beer pours a huge head and A TON of lacing lingers on the glass after the head withdraws. Couldn't have been better.
S: Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Smell lots of lemon, orange, grapefruit, apricot and mango (emphasis on the last two). It's practically a hop feast. However, there's a subtle amount of malt in the mix - mostly caramel and amber. I can't wait to imbibe on this.
T: You can't get better than this. This blows all the other DIPA's I've had out of the water. Simply superb balance between malt and hops. Can taste lots of sweet caramel and honey in the malt. These quickly give way to the hops which taste of grapefruit, mango, orange peel and lemon. I couldn't dream of a better beer.
M: Very thick and creamy. The carbonation balances out the thickness, however.
O: Perfect DIPA.
