Poured into a tall glass.
DN pours a medium orange color, with a generous amount of snow-colored head. Snow caps retain pretty well on this pour; cloudy, but can see through it. Nice aroma on this, especially as it warms a bit. To me, the smell is comprised of sweet malts & a bit of tropical fruit. This has one of my favorite tastes for a DIPA: pretty complex variety of tropical/summer fruits (peachy/apricot/mango types). The mouthfeel is appropriate for the style: on the heavy side of medium. There is a nice, dry, bitter finish.
The first time I had this, it really blew me away. It's been a while since I had a fresh pour of this. My palate has matured a bit, but it still stands tall to me. One of my favorite complex, well balanced DIPAs.
