Celebrating the opening match of Manchester United's Champions League campaign with the much heralded Dreadnaught from FFF Brewery. The 22 ounce bomber poured into the Leffe goblet glass that I recently got off a clearance rack at Whole Foods Market. This bottle of brew set me back $11. Label is a typical crazy looking FFF brew.
Pours a brilliant orange colour with a very small but bubbly head that sits atop. Lots of lacing lines the glass and many bubbles originate from the bottom of the goblet. The nose is very appealing. Lots of citrus hops along with floral notes and the typical malts of a DIPA. Taste is spot on for me. This baby is loaded with alcohol but the flavor is everything but full of alcohol. Much like the nose there is a lot of sweet citrus comprised of oranges and lemons up front with a very enjoyable bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and drinkability is high. This is one of the better DIPA I have sampled. Will definitely add this to my annual purchase even though it comes with such a high price tag. Credits to you FFF.
