22oz Bomber hand delivered by Uncle Flip from Dark Lord Day.
The pours a clear dark copper with tight cabonation and small white head that disappears fairly quickly. The smell is wonderful...grapefruit and pine needles, slight hint of alcohol. The taste is just like the smell. Beautiful hop experience as the grapefruit and pine sap hit you upfront. The malt sweetens out the onslaught on the hops and finishes with a nice clean bite. The alcohol comes through with a little warming at the finish. Mouthfeel is medium and not as thick as I would have expected, but that makes the drinkability very good. This beer is not as heavy as I thought it would be at 9.5 abv, but a damn fine DIPA. One of the best!
