Poured from 22 oz bomber into pint glass.
No bottled-on date that I could find...
Aroma: Pine, papaya, & fresh-cut grass hop notes; malt shows up as light brown sugar and, would you believe, cotton candy??
Appearance: Golden amber, 2-finger off-white foamy head slowly collapsed to 1/2 finger, and hung around for the remainder of the glass. Excellent lacing washed onto the sides of the glass after each sip.
Flavor: Grapefruit, light pine resin, and caramel-malty sweetness round out bitterness. Bitterness is not harsh and drying like what I've tasted in other IIPAs. Delicious bitterness hangs around through the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body & carbonation. Again, not drying like other representations of this style.
Drinkability: A highly enjoyable imperial IPA. No bottled-on date leads me to wonder what this one might have tasted like fresh out of the brewery. Nonetheless, very well-balanced. I don't find ANY flaws with this one. I definitely recommend trying!
