A - A straight amber brown, with dark red and light yellow highlights depending on how the light is hitting. A white head that disappears quickly. Fairly clear through.
S - All citrus and pine and stickiness. All signs point to excellent taste.
T - Straight out of the fridge this was a little disappointing, as all I could taste were the bittering hops. However, having had this beer on tap a few weeks ago at the brewpub I knew it had more to offer. As it warmed it really began to showcase itself. The pine and grapefruit from the smell really take over and a somewhat sticky sweetness plants itself in the middle of the tongue and provides at least some balance. Still, this beer is all about showcasing hop complexity and it does better than most other beers, able to effectively juxtapose the fruity, citrusy character of hops with their potential for extreme bitterness.
M - Well carbonated, and all of the flavors are quite powerful and tickle every area of the tongue, with particular excitement on the back sides where bitterness is picked up. Some slight alcohol burn is nice as well.
D - A delicious beer perfect for summer, but at 10 % it is dangerous and the 10 % is not hidden. I paid $10 for my bomber at the brewpub which I think is reasonable for a beer of this quality.
