A super fruity, dry hopped, Belgian sextuple, with notes of cardamon.

Can’t tell if I enjoy this beer or despise it. Looks nice, coppery orange with huge lacing. Smells like sweet fruit. Tastes like figs, fruit, Belgian yeast, massive hops, and then cardamom and alcohol on the finish. Is it interesting, bursting with flavor and nuanced? Or is it cloyingly sweet, soapy, and alcohol burning? It’s both. Or either depending on your point of view. I expect a very high variance of ratings on this. I enjoyed one on draft, but the price is high and tough to drink more than one.

Had on tap. Murky golden orange with a fluffy white collar and lacing. Smells floral with cardamom, belgian yeast, slight booze, fruit esters and other belgian spices. Taste was sneaky botanical upfront before giving way to yeast, malts, and a cornucopia of fruit, finished with decent sweetness and more booze. Feel is dry, pillowy, yet resinous underneath, boozy and botanical/floral. Classical with a twist, but no need to have again

Had this beer on tap at Tomlinson Tap, January 2020. Advertised as 13%, no IBU given. A Belgian sextuple, and I really enjoyed it. Was indeed strong, and had a spruce nose and taste. Really, really good.
